The Honda Foundation and Honda Australia support Foodbank Victoria

The Honda Foundation recently celebrated Christmas in July, by hosting a food drive where associates located in Honda Australia’s head office in Moonee Ponds donated a variety of food, sanitary products, and additional household items to a local organisation.

The organisation selected was Foodbank Victoria who have been providing food to vulnerable Victorians for 93 years.

With the cost-of-living crisis driving more people to seek help, charity partners are seeing demand surge by up to 200%. The organisation believes that all Victorians should have regular access to healthy and culturally appropriate foods.

Through their network of over 500 charity partners and schools across the state, Foodbank Victoria have successfully distributed 23.8 million meals in the last twelve months, which goes to show the level of extraordinary work they have been doing for the community in recent times.

Honda Australia donated 95 kilos of food for Foodbank Victoria this July, which will provide 190 meals for individuals and families across Victoria!

Foodbank Victoria was very thankful to meet with our Honda Foundation representatives as they dropped off the collected donations at the end of July.

A big thank you from The Honda Foundation to our associates and to Foodbank Victoria for all of their contributions in the community.
